“Billy on the Street” teams up with the Cookie Monster for this cute “Sesame Street” segment

“Billy on the Street’s” Billy Eichner and “Sesame Street’s” Big Bird go way back, but it was the Cookie Monster who kept Billy company during his first visit to the Street. Cookie Monster joined Eichner as he quizzed some of the Street’s famous residents using his unique interview tactics that fans of “Billy on the Street” will be familiar with.

A few weeks ago, in response to the Trump administration’s recent budget proposal — which suggests cuts in federal funding for “Sesame Street’s” network, PBS — Eichner sent out a tweet that contained the hashtag #JusticeForBigBird, and included a couple of photos featuring himself and then-First Lady Michelle Obama gallivanting with the big yellow guy.

It was recently anounced that Eichner will have a prominent role in the seventh season of “American Horror Story.”
