Oftentimes in marriage, only the strong survive. Even the happiest couples will tell you that you have to be tough, resilient, and powerful on the inside.
But one couple is thinking that being powerful on the outside isn’t such a bad idea, either. So they staged a powerlifting competition at their reception.
Hey, why not? Somebody’s gotta carry this relationship.
And it appears both the bride and groom are capable, as they performed a Crossfit-style deadlift routine for guests immediately following their wedding.

Needless to say, the reaction from outside wasn’t really favorable. Most people who witnessed the video were of the opinion that workouts should be reserved for the gym. Plus, as anyone who knows fitness will tell you, you need days off for your muscles to recover.
These two, though, may be on their own plan.
That said, not everyone was so judgmental. “I mean it’s their special day and it’s an activity that is meaningful to both of them,” wrote one commenter with a hint of grace. “Why not have some fun in one segment?”
Exactly. And if nothing else, it shows the couple is fit for marriage, and perhaps in every sense of the word. Still, this is quite odd if you ask me. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where people bring the gym to the reception. But hey, the crowd seemed to love it, so much so they were all waiving their hands int the air like they just don’t care. So yeah, good for them. Let them enjoy their time however they want to. I will say it’s impressive for the bride to do it in her dress.
