Nothing screams love like going overboard for your future spouse. Or in this case, plummeting into the ocean to rescue the engagement ring so you can have a future spouse at all.

So call Scott Clyne of Sarasota, Fla., a smart man. He may not only have rescued his marriage with his well-timed plunge, but saved a lot of money by rescuing the ring. Clyne, 35, shared the video of his quick drop to the water, via People.

Once Clyne emerged from the water, to some laughter from future wife Suzie Tucker, 32, he finished his proposal. He received some help from a friend who was videotaping the entire ordeal. Still, you have to admit that this is pretty epic, what a great save! He didn’t want his money to go to waste and did everything he could to save it!

“This is 100% real. 100% my luck. 100% will never forget….,” Clyne captioned the video.

We don’t have any audio to go with the event, but we can presume Tucker said yes to Clyne’s proposal, as she responded with a laugh and a hug.

And if nothing else, she can be certain he will at least be a loyal husband. After all, he took one last quick glimpse at the other fish in the sea and still decided to get married, anyway.

“Clyne also shared a shorter version of the video on TikTok, with Snoop Dogg’s hit Drop It Like It’s Hot playing over the footage,” People relayed. What a great memory to have, this defiantly tops a lot of proposals I have seen! You know this couple is going to last for a very long time!
