It All Started With Wilde’s Ex-Nanny
In an explosive two-part exclusive, Olivia Wilde’s ex-nanny told The Daily Mail a whole heap of very personal details about Wilde and her ex-fiancé, Jason Sudeikis. Wilde and Sudeikis share two children, Otis (8) and Daisy (6). They were together from 2011 to 2020 and then Wilde started dating musician Harry Styles.
The ex-nanny, who is unnamed, shared a bunch of texts between Wilde, Sudeikis, and herself. She told The Daily Mail that Wilde had left Sudeikis for Styles but continued leading her fiancé on and even sleeping in his bed up until recently. At one point, Wilde and Sudeikis allegedly got in a big argument while Wilde was making a salad dressing. Wilde then allegedly left with a salad and her dressing to go meet up with Styles. Sudeikis allegedly followed her out and laid under her car to prevent her from leaving, after a long back-and-forth walkathon where Wilde was telling Sudeikis that he was scaring her.
Whew!
The Daily Mail explosion goes on to explain that the nanny claims she was caught up in all the drama against her will, which led to her getting fired. Wilde and Sudeikis claim that she resigned and have cut her off. Together, the exes henceforth issued the following statement:
“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” they wrote. “Her now 18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.”
They continued, “We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”
Olivia Wilde’s Scandalous Salad Dressing Recipe
In a moment of fun, Wilde turned the tables around on all the gossip and shared a recipe to her Instagram stories. It was a photo of a page from the 1983 novel Heartburn by Nora Ephron.
“Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar,” it says. “Then whisking constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive.”
According to the nanny, Sudeikis had told her that Wilde had made Harry Styles “her special salad dressing” and was leaving to see him. She said the event left him distraught and in a panic. She attributed Wilde’s recent actions to a factor in Sudeikis’ drinking problem.
Don’t Worry Dijon: Made With Style
Whatever happened, Wilde and Sudeikis will have none of it. Meanwhile, Grey Poupon wants in on the action now.
Thanks to all the very random publicity, Grey Poupon has announced that they are releasing special edition Grey Poupon jars. They are labeled Don’t Worry Dijon: Made With Style, slyly referencing Wilde’s most recent film, Don’t Worry Darling, as well as Harry Styles.
In an Instagram post, Grey Poupon hilariously added the following caption
“You too could win someone over with a dash of Grey Poupon with our limited edition “Don’t Worry Dijon” jars – stay tuned for how you can get your hands on one.”
The back of the special edition jars list the recipe for “Don’t Worry Dressing.” It is, of course, the same vinaigrette as written by author Nora Ephron.
Grey Poupon fans approve. They’ve made comments such as “Marketing and PR gets a raise,” “The devil works hard but dijon works harder,” and “Who wouldn’t lay underneath a car for this.”
Styles stars alongside Florence Pugh in Don’t Worry Darling. The film was directed and co-written by Wilde. She also plays a role in the film as a character named Bunny.
