Throughout his many years on the show, Hartman created many classic characters, one of whom was known as “The Anal Retentive Chef.”

The sketch appeared as if it were broadcast on a local television station and featured Hartman as a chef with major problems with anything that was even slightly uneven.

One classic sketch from the late ’80’s shows what happens when Hartman tries to cook pepper steak but gets sidetracked.

In the world of the chef, everything needed to be cut evenly and if there were mess it needed to be properly disposed of, this meant that garbage needed to be wrapped in tin foil, folded into a paper bag and then stapled shut.
