Fighting and hockey have been linked for decades. It’s hard to have one without the other. As the old saying goes, “I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out.” But that is generally in reference to the guys on the ice.

And based on a recent video of fans throwing punches in the stands, fighting should be left to the players — and players only.
The popular Twitter account simply known as “Hockey Fights” recently revealed not just two presumably drunken dolts duking it out, but one of them knocking himself out at the end, simply by bashing his head against the plexiglass.
The fight was lame; the ending was amazing. Both were stupid.

Of course, before all this happened, the poor fellow had his shirt pulled over his head while he took some shots to the gut. It’s unclear if he actually landed any punches himself, or if any of this actually hurt.
Maybe that’s why he smashed his head against the glass. Maybe he had been longing for some pain.
Drinking, hockey, fighting. All are intertwined. It’s part of the game. But yeah, leave this stuff to the professionals. We can see what happens when amateurs try to get involved. Still, this is pretty lame and hilarious to see at the same time. My man wanted to go out with a bang, and he did just that. Literally. You gotta love a good breakout fight whenever you go to any game. Not just hockey, I mean ANY game. Our two cents, don’t be this person, seriously.
It’s just dumb and useless, what do you get out of it? Fifteen minutes of viral fame on Twitter? Nah, not worth it at all if you ask me.
