For some people, though, a second career isn’t believed to be necessary.
Raquel Llorente of England seems to think she fits into that category. She thinks she’s too hot to be bothered with an actual job, as relayed by the New York Post.
So Llorente, 23, has abandoned her pursuit of an engineering degree in favor of … well, the hope that others find her as pretty as she says she is. It started when she stopped working on her studies and turned her attention to doing make up on herself.
“I never wanted to be (in college) in the first place,” Llorente told The Sun, via the Post. “I was spending all my student loans on different [cosmetic] palettes and would lose myself in make-up.”
Soon thereafter, she started an Instagram account solely for her many looks, and it took off almost immediately.

“I was playing around with different looks and all of a sudden I’d realize five hours had passed and I had a deadline at midnight,” she said. “When I did submit an essay on time, it was last minute and looked messy — but I looked great.”
In other words, she found her essay to be lousy, especially when compared to her reflection.
“Engineers are important, but I don’t want to build a career in something I would have hated,” she added, and she’s right about that.
So now, she is trying to get rich via the modern way. By asking the world to pay just to look at her.
But this is today’s world, and it is answering the bell — as Llorente claimed she is making about $34,000 USD per year thanks to sponsorships.
“I spend all my days answering emails, filming and editing,” she said. “I think from the outside looking in it looks like easy work but when you’re focusing on building a social media career you’re working on it from 9-5.”
