One day after his moving tribute to the victims of the Orlando massacre at the Tony Awards, James Corden returned to the helm of “The Late, Late Show” for another edition of “Carpool Karaoke.”
Over the last year the sketch has become one of the most popular late night segments ever, and has featured pop stars like Gwen Stefani, Adele and Jennifer Lopez.
On Monday, Corden took the skit in a different direction as he welcomed the band Red Hot Chili Peppers to his car.
As the group drove around Los Angeles with Corden, they sang along to some of their biggest hits, including “Californication” and “Under the Bridge.”
Before the group began singing “The Zephyr Song,” Corden joked that the band was usually shirtless whenever they played. In order to be a true member of the Chili Peppers, Corden then stripped down with bassist Flea and vocalist Anthony Kiedis.
From discussions about Kiedis seeing Cher naked when he was a child to getting into fights on a stranger’s lawn, the ride with the Red Hot Chili Peppers will certainly go down as one of Corden’s most absurd moments.
