Jimmy Fallon asked his fans to send him photos of strange and funny signs they’ve encountered so that he could share them with all of us to spread a few laughs. On the Nov. 22, 2016 segment of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Fallon revealed the best entries he received and, wow, some of these are fantastic.
In a delightfully unexpected twist that may have been a result of the spirit of the holidays, Fallon started out the segment by breaking into song, singing “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor and clapping his hands along to the melody. After a few lines Fallon abruptly cuts the singing and says “That’s it, that’s all.” But clearly the song gets him in a good mood!
“These are all real pictures or funny signs that you guys saw in a store, or weird signs you saw while driving around,” says Fallon, reminding the audience and viewers watching at home that these are 100 percent real. Ranging from funny to outright absurd, it’s amazing that the folks who created these signs didn’t realize where they went wrong. This is why everyone needs a copy editor!
