Jimmy Kimmel unveils an STD map and you might be surprised by the results

On Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel unveiled a map showing where sexually transmitted diseases are the most common, and it definitely caught us off guard.

California finished 16th, which, Kimmel joked, is hard to believe becauseĀ “Charlie Sheen lives here.”

But perhaps the biggest surprise was the number one state — Alaska. We certainly didn’t expect Alaska to be at the top of the list, but as the host reasoned, “Have you ever tried to open a condom while you were wearing mittens?”

The states at the bottom of the list were all in New England. Kimmel brought up a tourism video for Vermont with catchy lyrics like “Come to Vermont, we’d love to see ya, we won’t give you herpes or gonorrhea.”
