Judge Suspended After Showing Up Half-Naked to Virtual Hearing

When it comes to showing up half-naked to a virtual court hearing, one Colombian judge has been found guilty as charged.

As relayed by TMZ, this particular judge has a reputation for posting provocative pictures of herself on the Internet. That’s not necessarily an issue as it’s not related to work.

But when you confuse work with play … well, that can be a problem.

The case in question was related to a car bombing. It was heard by Justice Vivian Polania — who decided to preside over the hearing while wearing lingerie and smoking a cigarette.

In her defense, she may not have been aware that the camera was on for all the others on Zoom to see. She did, after all, eventually shut off her camera for more than an hour.

Then again, she pleaded not guilty to the accusations that she was behaving inappropriately. Instead, she said she was lying in bed because her blood pressure was out of whack, and had just experienced an anxiety attack. She also accused the judges of bullying her.

Just a thought: Perhaps this isn’t someone who should be overseeing the fate of others.

Anyway, Polania has received a three-month unpaid suspension for the act, and is being investigated by authorities for her provocative pictures.

And as someone on trial might do, she has hidden much of the evidence — by deleting her Instagram account. Hopefully for her sake, whoever makes the final judgment on her career isn’t lying down on the job.
