But if one Seattle man has his way, we will indeed find out … centuries from now. The man documented his efforts to preserve the crunchy, salty and peppery snack on his TikTok account.

“I just do these meme art projects as a fun side hobby right now. My day job is working as an animator. When I’m not at my 9 to 5, I’m usually in my art studio,” he told Newsweek.
“The hardest part was the weight, mixing 3,000 pounds of concrete of those 80-pound bags was strenuous. But that was all part of the fun of it.”
Fun? Sure. Especially if you’re around centuries from now and are able to dig up the Cheetos.
For now, though, the location remains a secret.
“The way I found the land was by posting to my Instagram ‘Does anyone own land in the PNW (Pacific Northwest) that would be willing to let me bury something on their property? (not a dead body)’ and a very nice couple replied saying they’d love to be a part of the project,” he said.
Can you imagine people finding this in the future? What will they think? Was this some precious food that people ate back in 2022? Whatever they think, I hope the Cheetos are still good enough to eat. Which….they probably won’t, but still. Worth a taste.
