One good way to audition for an acting role is to pretend you’re dead for a year.

It sure worked for Josh Nalley, who made a TikTok video every day for 321 straight days, depicting that he had moved on to the afterlife. (Or just laying on the ground and rotting, depending on his beliefs.)

Better yet, each fake death took place under different circumstances, and in different locations.

All of which was done solely so the Kentucky resident could impress those running the popular Paramount+ drama CSI: Vegas.

And guess what? It worked.

Nalley has been contracted to play a dead guy in an episode of Season 2. His dream has been realized.

“I don’t like speaking on camera, but I can lie there and act like I am dead pretty easily,” he told the Louisville Courier Journal. “Having done more than 300 of these posts, I have progressed and gotten better. At first, you could see me breathing, or the fake blood looked really bad.”

“I have gotten rid of using the blood and gotten better at holding my breath.”

While Nalley admittedly has no previous acting experience, he can play the role of a lifeless corpse with a great deal of confidence. Just goes to show that the best way to live your dreams is to perhaps to pretend you’re not alive at all.
