Michael Flynn’s Valentine’s Day cards have arrived, courtesy of Stephen Colbert

On Valentine’s Day, few people in Washington were likely thinking about their loved ones. Rather, everybody was talking about the scandal surrounding National Security Advisor Michael Flynn who handed in his resignation early Tuesday morning.

One GOP lawmaker said that Valentine’s Day kept the Republicans from discussing the Flynn debacle, and people are still scratching their heads about that one.

But love is mostly about loyalty, and Flynn appeared to be fiercely loyal to President Trump.

On Tuesday night, left-leaning late-night host Stephen Colbert featured a number of Flynn-inspired Valentine’s Day Cards with messages like, “to Vladimir Putin, we go together like peanut butter and treason.”
