We’ve all seen our fair share of hilarious doorbell camera footage. Some of the clips capture funny animal moments, neighbors doing odd things when they believe no one is watching, and the occasional package thief. This time, a much younger, more comical subject is at the center of the viral footage.

The doorbell clip was posted to Twitter by a user named Jaz. “Ring camera at it’s best!” the caption reads.
Video Assistance
In the video, a police officer is searching the area for a teen that slipped out of sight. As he searches, a woman approaches the officer and speaks to him about the incident. He then asks her if she can check her camera footage to see if the all-seeing-eye caught a glimpse of where the kid may have scurried off to.
“See if your camera picked any motion. We’re looking for a subject in a red t-shirt.” the officer instructed.
Once the woman reviewed her footage, she reported back to the officer. “He’s in my trash can. He is in my dumpster in my garage,” she exclaimed.
The Final Cut And Capture
The officers make their way over to the garage. They approach the can with their weapons drawn and the teenager emerges. Police attempt to apprehend him, but he quickly wiggles away and starts running down the driveway into a wooded area. You can hear people yelling in the background, urging the officers to nab the suspect.
Moments later, two other officers jog past the camera to help the ones already in pursuit of the suspect. Some indistinct bystander chatter is caught in the back. You can tell by the elevated tone of voice that they are discussing how the woman’s clip helped authorities find the suspect.
At the end of the video, a group of officers walk past the camera once again. This time, they have the teen in cuffs.
