Almond Joy’s got nuts, Mounds don’t, but if you really want to feel like a nut, all you really need to do is head to New York City.

After all, some smoke shops there are selling candy bars derived from magic mushrooms. That’s just groovy, baby, for those who are into such things.

The candy bars are called PolkaDots, and they come in a variety of flavors. One of those flavors is Lucky Charms, based on the cereal of the same name, and some will tell you they truly are “magically delicious.”

Others will tell you that any flavor isn’t exactly a great idea and is downright nasty.

“I took five pieces of that — stupidest decision I’ve made in my actual life,” an employee at the Convenience Store told the New York Post. “I have a high tolerance for weed, so I thought I’d be fine, but it f—ked me up.”

The Post reported that some of the bars contain several grams of psilocybin, a Schedule 1 illegal narcotic. They run anywhere from $50 to $90, and are tucked away behind the counters, the Post added.

Given all this, shop owners who sell the candy bars could face felony charges. But that’s only if law enforcement authorities care enough to start raiding the stores. At this point, that doesn’t seem really likely.

So if you really want to go nuts, yes, you can skip the Almond Joy. But a Snickers or Payday may be your next best option. Leave the PolkaDot for someone who’s actually crazy.
