Philadelphia Fans Fall Through Bus Stop After Celebrating Win

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to the Super Bowl, but some of their rowdy fans may have to go to the hospital first.

The reason? Because they fell through a bust stop while celebrating the Eagles’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, the win that got them to the Super Bowl, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The frightening incident happened near downtown Philly and was captured on video, with multiple injuries reported. It happened when fans climbed to the top of a SEPTA bus stop.

It also happened not long after Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney issued a friendly reminder to celebrate safely.

“As a lifelong Philadelphian and the Mayor of this great city I am thrilled to see fans of all ages and from every neighborhood celebrating side by side, full of pride and excitement,” Kenney said in a statement. “This is a wonderful night and I ask Philadelphians to celebrate joyously, safely, and respectfully.”

This will be the Eagles’ fourth trip to the Super Bowl, and first since 2018 when they defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
