Houston Police have revealed that they arrested a man during the World Series Victory Parade for the Astros after he decided to throw a White Claw can at Republican senator Ted Cruz. Houston Police revealed on Twitter that a 33-year-old man had struck the senator while he was on a float in the parade. The can managed to hit Cruise in the chest/neck area but he didn’t require any medical attention.

Nearby officers were able to take the man into custody without any further incident. He was quickly taken to jail and is facing assault charges. A video was posted on social media showing the can be thrown at the senator.  Not only that, but Cruz was met with several boos from the parade crowd. Cruz went on to retweet the video and thank the police for responding quickly. “I’m also thankful that the clown who threw his White Claw had a noodle for an arm,” he stated.

The senator, who currently lives in the Houston area, attended several World Series games including game 6 which occurred on Sunday. He also attended game 4 of the ALCS  in New York, where Yankee fans flipped him off and booed him as well.

As expected Twitter went wild when the video was shared, with several questioning his position. One Twitter user commented, “how did he get elected to be so unpopular? Is it even popular in Texas?” Another one noted, “ interesting enough, he is still in office, maybe someday, people will vote for a candidate, not a party.”

“Why that guy is even in the parade I don’t know. Poor kids. They have been better off alone, enjoying the cheers,” another one stated.

Putting my two cents in here, I do agree with the last tweet. Those poor kids must have felt so miserable and so embarrassed to hear all the booze. If I was Cruz I would die down my parade attendance a little bit.
