“SNL” cast member Michael Che tackles race issues in America with razor sharp wit in Netflix comedy special YouTube Screenshot

If you can glean anything from the title of Michael Che’s latest Netflix stand-up special, “Michael Che Matters,” race issues are very important to the “Saturday Night Live” cast member. Back in early October, Che even shocked viewers when he dropped the N-word during his defense of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick on “Weekend Update.”

In “Michael Che Matters,” the N-words continue to flow, and while race isn’t the only thing Che touches on, his clear passion surrounding the subject shines through in his “screwed the pooch” and “Black Lives Matter” bits.

Che certainly doesn’t shy away from controversy, you only need to watch the rest of his special to discover that, and we hope to see a lot more from the young comedian in the future: both behind the “Weekend Update” desk and on the stand-up stage.
