“SNL” tackles slacktivism in this hilarious music video — with a little help from Louis C.K.

On Saturday, April 8, Louis C.K. hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the fourth time. In this hysterical musical sketch, Louis plays a social justice warrior wannabe named Scott, who is sarcastically thanked by a trio of singers and a rapper for his incessant virtue signalling. The performers are joined by back-up dancers, and the whole thing escalates very quickly.

It’s safe to say that Scott — who adds “Black Lives Matter” to his Twitter bio and constantly shares news articles to his Facebook while sitting on the toilet — is the epitome of slacktivism. And we love him for it.

The song is appropriately titled “Thank You, Scott,” and it’s one heck of an earworm.
