In the video, you can see the girl hold her straighter horizontally, patiently waiting for it to work. In the background, you can see her friend watch the straightener and at one point say, “It’s not gonna work.”

Around the 12-second mark, magic happens! The kernel pops into a nice piece of popcorn, while also scaring the crap out of the two girls.
