Alicia Silverstone Doesn’t Care If You Care She Still Shares Bed With 11-year-old Son

Actress Alicia Silverstone says she isn’t clueless about sharing a bed with her 11-year old son. And if you care, too bad. She doesn’t.

“Bear and I still sleep together,” Silverstone said on The Ellen Fisher Podcast. “I’ll be in trouble for saying that, but I really don’t care.”

Silverstone, 45, was discussing her “alternative” parenting methods on the podcast. The Clueless star is also a devoted vegan and recently said the diet has changed her life for the better.

Nobody questions that. But yes, she is right — some people will think her sleeping with her pre-teen is a bit strange. Silverstone is not at all worried about that.

“I’m a loving mama,” she said. “And I believe in love and I believe in nature. Our society is scared of nature and scared of love.”

She shares Bear Blu Jarecki with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki. She adds that allowing Bear to sleep in her bed is just a way of “following nature” as a parent.

“If you were in any kind of wild setting where there are animals,” she asked. “If you put your baby over there, your baby is going to get eaten.” As she was pointing across the room, she said, “It’s not ideal for the baby to be over there.”

No matter, fans have taken to criticizing Silverstone on social media. “She won’t let this kid even have a CHANCE of not being clowned on by his peers,” wrote one Twitter user.

Silverstone’s career peaked in the early to mid-1990s, starring in such movies as Clueless, The Crush, The Babysitter and Batman & Robin. She married Jarecki in 2005 before uncoupling in 2018.
