These homemade trays are molded perfectly to your teeth, just like the expensive ones. All you need are sports mouth guards and a little hot water. The mouth guards are the perfect place to start because they fit right over your teeth and are made of flexible plastic.

To make them fit perfectly, simply hold the mouth guards in a cup of boiling water until the plastic starts to get soft. Then press them over your teeth and let cool. They will take the shape of your teeth and voilà, you’ve got a set of custom whitening trays.
