Betty White’s Former Home Sells Above Asking Price

For more than 50 years, Betty White resided at her suburban Los Angeles home. And now, it’s been sold — for $10.678 million.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house, located in Brentwood, is 3,029 square feet and includes a swimming pool as well as sweeping views of the Getty Museum.

The Golden Girls star and her husband Allen Ludden purchased the colonial-style house in 1968 and lived together there until Ludden’s death in 1981. And following his passing, White remained at the property in Brentwood. It continued to be her primary residence until her own death last New Year’s Eve, at age 99. She spent her final moments in the home.

One month ago, it hit the market with a price tag $10.575 million, but the selling process was unconventional. Only pre-qualified buyers were allowed to tour the property and even they were not granted interior access. Still, the house has sold for $103,000 above asking.
