7News ABC in Washington, D.C., reported that The Clubhouse at Aquia Harbour in Stafford recently posted a menu for “Seafood Sunday.” Sunday marks 21 years since the terror attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.

Bad-taste offerings on the menu included “First Responder Flatbread” and “Flight 93 Redirect” crab dip, according to WRIC. The menu also advertised “9-11 Oysters” and “2977 Chowder,” in reference to the number of victims who died according to Daily Mail.

Additionally, the restaurant planned to serve chocolate silk “Pentagon Pie” for dessert; key lime-flavored “Remember-tini”; and the “Never Forget” Sampler, featuring a taste of each available dish.

7News said the manager of the club, George White, apologized on Facebook on Tuesday.

“I apologize for those I offended with the 9/11 seafood Sunday post,” White reportedly wrote. “My intention was to bring attention to that horrific day 21 years ago. To honor those who lost so much as well as those who gave everything that day. We will have a new theme tomorrow.”

A new restaurant was not locatable as of deadline.

The controversy occurred a couple of months after a different 9/11-related incident.

Fox Sports used its the 9/11 memorial buildings and pools in an MLB broadcast of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. Apparently, the network thought it was a convenient place to slap some logos for a neat overhead establishing shot.

The Sept. 11 memorial opened on the tragic location in New York City exactly 10 years after the attacks; being made available to the public on Sept. 11, 2011.
