I’m convinced that pretty much everyone in the world is obsessed with Auntie Anne’s as much as I am. Whenever I go into a mall I always make it a point to buy a pretzel or two, because the smell just makes you crave it then and there.

It’s witchcraft, honestly, I don’t know what they put in those pretzels but they are phenomenal. So, when I saw that there was a BEER made with Auntie Anne’s pretzels I immediately freaked out. You KNOW this is probably going to be the best thing you’ve ever tasted. It’s the perfect combo!
Is Butter A Carb?
Auntie Anne’s has partnered with the company Evil Genius to create a limited edition lager that is brewed with delicious pretzels. The company posted a video on TikTok, announcing it has partnered with the Philadelphia-based Brewer for a special Oktoberfest beer.
“We partnered with @EvilGeniusBeer to create our own Oktoberfest Lager made with our pretzels,” Auntie Anne’s captioned the post. The special Brew is called “Is Butter A Carb?” which is a nod to a quote in the fan-favorite movie Mean Girls. This will be the first beer available for purchase that features Auntie Anne’s legendary soft pretzels as a special ingredient.
Auntie Anne’s Partners With Evil Genius Beer
According to a press release shared by Parade, “the limited-edition beverage is a timeless riff on the Oktoberfest-style lager. “Is Butter a Carb?” is brewed not only with Auntie Anne’s pretzels, but also with imported German hops and malts for a prominent toasty flavor profile that’s rounded out with pleasant saltiness.”
Evil Genius co-founder Trevor Hayward went on to release a statement, noting, “The only thing better than pretzels AND beer, is pretzels IN beer.” He continued, “We really wanted to tie the brands together in a fun way that reminds you of biting into a warm pretzel with every sip.”
What I want to know is how many calories the beer is going to have, because you’re basically adding carbs to another carb. So it’s a carb overload and in liquid form, which makes it even scarier. Will it be delicious? Probably, I have no doubt about that, but hey, everything in moderation. Right?
