Impress your friends by serving these mini beef Wellingtons Rumble screenshot

Beef Wellington is an English dish that consists of steak wrapped in puff pastry. (Americans may best know it as one of the entrées Gordon Ramsay is always screaming about on “Hell’s Kitchen.”)

It’s often served in fancy restaurants, but there’s no need to spend a fortune on beef Wellington when it’s deceptively easy to make.

Here’s how to prepare a delicious and romantic beef Wellington dinner for two.

You will need:
2 filet mignon
3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup onion, chopped
6 ounces mushrooms, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 sprig thyme
¼ cup sherry
1 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 sheet puff pastry, cut in half
Egg wash
Plastic wrap
