Make delicious French toast sticks at home — it’s easier than you think

Basic French toast is pretty easy to make. But somehow, those French toast sticks that come in a box in the freezer section taste so much better. Maybe it’s the magic of smaller pieces, or maybe it’s because they are deep fried.

Either way, make them at home to step up your French toast game. Your kids will be so happy you did.

Be sure to use a lot of butter in the pan to emulate that deep fried taste.

• 8 slices Texas toast
• 4 large eggs
• 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
