Pumpkin spice fries. Pumpkin spice fries. That’s it — the pumpkin spice craze has gone too far.

But believe it or not, these new McDonald’s spuds won’t be served in the United States. Grub Street reports that they will grace the chain’s locations in Japan, where pumpkin flavors aren’t nearly as popular.

Apparently, the pumpkin spice fries are simply plain shoestrings drizzled with pumpkin and chocolate sauces. We know salty and sweet flavors often complement each other, but there’s something decidedly icky about the idea of mixing potato, chocolate and pumpkin.

Pumpkin spice fries will be available Sept. 28 through Halloween.

If you need to get your pumpkin fix at an American Mickey D’s, you can always go for the classic pumpkin spice latte. But personally, we’re over pumpkin spice.
