It’s BBQ season, but don’t get bored with the same old grilling standbys. Enter: BACON SUSHI.
Cut up these rolls and turn your appetizers into fun conversation starters.
The instructions are easy, all you’ll need is:
12 slices of bacon
1 lb ground beef
BBQ rub spices
2 sticks of yellow, medium-hard cheese (or string cheese)
Put 6 slices of bacon on a sushi rolling mat, season the beef with your favorite BBQ rub and apply a thin layer of meat on the bacon.
Place a cheese stick on the meat, roll it up tightly and prepare your barbecue grill for indirect heat. Put the rolls on an indirect zone of the grill, close the lid and cook for about 35 minutes at 350°.
Glaze them after 25 minutes with BBQ sauce, cook for another 5 minutes. Then glaze the rolls again and finish with a final 5 minutes.
Roll the cooked BBQ bacon sushi rolls in crumbed tortilla chips and fried onions, then serve with bbq sauce and pickled jalapenos.
