It’s the ultimate weekend food — an epic mashup of two of our favorite comfort dishes. After all, who hasn’t wanted to smother nachos in a disassembled cheeseburger?
This nacho recipe from CheatSheet features all your favorite cheeseburger toppings — ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles and, naturally, lots and lots of cheese!
You will need:
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ½ yellow onion, diced
- Salt and pepper
- ¾ pound ground beef (80% lean)
- 6 ounces tortilla chips
- 8 ounces smoked cheddar cheese, grated
- 3-4 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, thinned with 2 teaspoons water
- ½ cup dill pickles, chopped
