Move over, Ellen: It’s increasingly apparent that another former talk-show host, Wendy Williams, is having a worse 2022 than you.

Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr., allegedly racked up $100,000 on his mother’s American Express card without her approval, tabloid paper The Sun reported Tuesday.
Hunter Jr. allegedly ran up the balance before Wells Fargo froze Wendy Williams’ brokerage accounts in January.
The card that Hunter Jr. allegedly used was not the same card as the one that Williams’ manager used to pay for an attorney.
“Kevin was demanding that Wendy’s advisor pay the bill- instead of Wendy,” an unnamed source said, per The Sun.

Meanwhile, Hunter Jr. reportedly said: “I vehemently deny any allegations of unauthorized use of my mother’s American Express Card. This is a false narrative perpetuated to justify freezing her accounts.”
This is hardly the first time Williams and/or her son have made the news.
In May 2019, Hunter — 18 years old at the time — was arrested for punching his father. Hunter Jr.’s father, Kevin Hunter, said he wouldn’t press charges.
“I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally,” Hunter told TMZ. “Things are not always how they appear.”
Meanwhile, Williams has racked up too many controversies to count.
For example, the troubled TV personality made bizarre remarks about Meghan Markle in February 2018.
“I respect Meghan Markle’s hustle and I respect her game. However, she’s a bit of a wild card, you know, because she goes from being the ‘Deal or No Deal’ girl, so this is a girl looking for game,” Williams said. “And remember the story here at Wendy. She came here to Wendy to find out what she could do here. She’s been here; she’s been in our building. We have her DNA.”
