One Kentucky woman says she met God, and probably not the way you want to — while in a coma.

Penny Wittbrodt, 52, fell into a coma after suffering anaphylaxis from eating shellfish. When that happened, she said she saw a “bright light” and was told by her grandmother’s spirit to remain calm.

Wittbrodt added that when she went into the coma, her soul left her body. “Man, who is that girl? She’s pretty sick,” Wittbrodt said she thought.

Soon thereafter, she met God and had a full conversation, she claimed.

Per Amomama, Wittbrodt said “God’s responses made her understand that the suffering in this world would be rewarded in the afterlife. She also saw a glimpse of the future, where her son, David, was watching his son play soccer.”

Interestingly, she claims she was “immediately healed” and no longer suffers anaphylaxis, and hasn’t since she came out of the coma.

How’s that for an out-of-body experience?

Anyway, Wittbrodt has since been a regular when it comes to interviews with publications and podcasts. She shares links to some of the articles on her Facebook page and offers positive messages on Instagram. Clearly, she is spreading the word and the good news she claims to have experienced.

“We’re meant to move forward, meet challenges, and share kindness,” she said.

Her biggest takeaway, though, from her meeting with God? It was that worldly comforts don’t really hold value in the afterlife. It’s the struggles that bear fruit, she said.
