These are the most popular baby names of the 1990s from A to Z

Back in the 1990s, we were jamming to *NSYNC and Destiny’s Child, lining up to get “The Rachel” haircut (or stylish frosted tips for the guys) and impatiently waiting for the dial-up tone to connect us to our first AIM chats. Kids were collecting Beanie Babies en masse, and Pokemon was not an app for your phone.

Some millennials born in the 1990s may be nearing the age of having children themselves — and some of us just have a strong nostalgia for this colorful decade. Whatever the reason, there are many excellent choices for baby names that were particularly popular in the 1990s.

MooseRoots, a geneology data site by Graphiq, found the most popular baby names from the 1990s for each letter of the alphabet. Using data from the Social Securuty Administration, the team at MooseRoots found the top name of each letter (for boys and girls) and looked at the name with the highest average frequency per million over the entire decade (1990-1999).

From traditional names like Ashley, Andrew or Ryan, to the uncommon Xena or Uriel, see if any of these names are dope, totally rad or far out.
