Window blinds have to be the most infuriating thing to clean around the house! But vinegar can work magic — quickly cutting through years of dust, dirt and grime to leave your blinds looking like new.

There’s no reason to buy expensive or dangerous cleaning products, disinfectants or de-greasers when all you need is probably already in your cupboard!
Just pour some vinegar in a bowl, use an old rag or sponge to dip into the bowl and then carefully wipe down each individual slat in the blinds. When you’re done, they’ll sparkle like new.
Vinegar can work wonders around the home even after cleaning the blinds.
- Windows: Fill a spray bottle with vinegar, water and a little soap, then use the mixture to spray your dirty windows and wipe them clean with a towel.
- Shower head: Pour vinegar in a plastic grocery bag, then use a rubber band to secure it around your shower head to clear hard water deposits.
- Cutting boards: Pour vinegar directly on your wooden cutting board and wipe clean with a sponge to disinfect it.
- Mattresses: Mix vinegar, alcohol and tea tree oil in a spray bottle, then spray directly on your mattress to disinfect and remove odors.
