Happy Halloween, boys and ghouls!

As a mom of two, I’m always looking for ways to cut corners, spending-wise. So I decided to make Halloween costumes for my son and daughter this year.

I used a few materials I already had at home to make this wind-up toy crank, which can then be attached to pretty much any costume. The most difficult part (and honestly, it’s not that hard) may be measuring the Velcro strap to fit your child’s waist.

You’ll need:

  • Paper towel roll
  • Piece of cardboard
  • Velcro strap
  • Spray paint
