The high-profile actor amassed the earnings between June 2012 and June 2013, before she married Brad Pitt.

So, here’s the trivia question: What movie was the source Angelina Jolie leaned on most heavily to build up her income during that stretch?

Angelina Jolie and Her $33M Film Role

According to Forbes, Jolie made $7 million more than Jennifer Lawrence, the second-highest-paid female actor between June 2012 and June 2013.

Lawrence made $26 million, followed by Kristen Stewart ($22 million), Jennifer Aniston ($20 million), and Emma Stone ($16 million).

Meanwhile, Jolie topped the list largely due to Maleficent in 2014. The film made roughly $758.5 million, while Jolie collected $33 million.

Jolie currently demands $20 million for her film roles, according to TheThings.com.

Jolie’s Financial Fights With Pitt

Unfortunately, Jolie and Pitt began a series of legal disputes after they divorced in 2019. The court battles continue to this day.

In particular, Angelina Jolie sued Pitt for $250 million over a winery they bought in 2012. Jolie accused him and “a gang of cronies [to launch] a devious campaign to “seize control” of their French winery, Château Miraval.

According to Vanity Fair, Jolie and Pitt moved into the main villa of the winery, located in Correns, in 2008. They got married there in 2014.

In late July, Angelina Jolie scored a legal victory when a judge ruled that Pitt’s businesses have to share a trove of documents, according to Forbes.
