Federline said he was too busy raising his and Spears’ children to support her during the conservatorship.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said in an Aug. 26, 2007 declaration that Federline has "no net income" after various expenses, and that his spousal support of $20,000 a month ends in November. No one expected Kevin Federline to make headlines again in 2022. Then again, nothing seems predictable anymore — including with his ex-wife, Britney Spears.

Nevertheless, K-Fed is back in the news. He recently revealed in a video interview with 60 Minutes Australia that he didn’t come to Britney Spears’ aid during the conservatorship because he was too preoccupied with raising their children.

On Wednesday, 60 Minutes Australia released a 50-second, sensationalized sneak peek of the interview on YouTube. The full conversation will air Sunday.

Federline apparently told 60 Minutes Australia that he wanted “to set the record straight.”

Britney Spears’ History With Kevin Federline

Spears’ ex-husband, who used to be a backup dancer, claimed their relationship was “amazing — till it wasn’t.”

The couple divorced in 2007. After she refused to give up custody of her sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline, authorities put her on an involuntary psychiatric hold. A California judge put her under conservatorship, which resulted in her father obtaining control of her assets.

Federline called the conservatorship “mortifying” for Spears. “I still feel bad for her. The boys, the boys, the boys. I had to worry about them.

In 2021, the conservatorship finally ended after she publicly alleged abuse on the part of her family and management team. Even so, Britney Spears’ woes and concerning behavior continued.

Earlier this week, Britney Spears posted a 22-minute audio clipon YouTube, alleging the conservatorship she endured amounted to “abuse.” Spears accused her family of damaging her with the conservatorship, saying they “threw me away,” according toCNN.

“I was scared broken. I’m sharing this because I want people to know I’m only human,” Spears reportedly said in the clip. “I do feel victimized after these experiences and how can I mend this if I don’t talk about it.”

Federline added in the 60 Minutes Australia interview that Britney Spears’ children haven’t seen her for months — out of their volition.
