Chris Pratt Spotted Rocking American Flag Gear On Weekend Outing

Hollywood’s man of the hour — even on vacation — seems to be lapping up media attention.

Many actors believe the media and tabloids are repellant. But Chris Pratt, Hollywood’s man of the hour, is lapping up all the attention he can get. Quizzically, he’s wearing tons of patriotic clothing in just about every recent paparazzi photo.

Perhaps Pratt, star of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, is sporting U.S.A. gear to get cast as Captain America. But amid his erratic/amusing behavior, he might’ve neglected to watch the news lately. Maybe he was on an interstellar galaxy and didn’t hear about Mackie’s casting from out of space. Or something like that.

Paparazzi took snaps of Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger earlier this week in Santa Barbara, California, Daily Mail reports. The spouses allegedly made the visit at least in part to visit Katherine Schwarzenegger’s mother, Maria Shriver.

It didn’t come as a huge surprise that Marvel decided to tap Anthony Mackie to play Captain America’s successor. After all, Falcon appeared to be Cap’s bestie onscreen — not to mention both actors starred in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

How High Will Chris Pratt’s Meteoric Rise Go?

Pratt’s stunts may seem a tad spontaneous. Social media users captured him jumping on a bar to sing a Johnny Cash song. He went to another bar for a rendition of Garth Brooks’ “Papa Loves Mama” as well.

But they also could be part of a carefully orchestrated public-relations and promotional push intended to build early excitement for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The third installment in the Guardians trilogy is currently in post-production and due in theaters sometime next year.

A much more logical explanation of Chris Pratt’s choice of attire is due to the runaway success of his new TV show, The Terminal List. Amazon Prime Video aired the eight-part conspiracy thriller on July 1, and shortly thereafter, Pratt quickly became more recognized for his role as an intimidating Navy SEAL in The Terminal List than when he played a comedic role in Parks and Recreation.

Lest we ignored the elephant in the room — or the T. rex, more aptly — Pratt also stars in the final installment of the Jurassic World trilogy. The film amassed $990 million across the globe.

One wonders if Chris Pratt looks at himself in the mirror in the morning and declares, as Titanic director James Cameron famously did, that he is “king of the world!” From the looks of his latest resume, he would probably qualify.
