Amy Slaton can’t seem to get a break. The 1000-LB. Sisters reality star has announced that she and husband Michael Halterman have filed for divorce on March 13. The Deputy Clerk for the Union country courthouse went on to confirm the news to E! News. The couple first married in March 2019.

The split comes less than a year after Slaton gave birth to their son Glenn Allen Halterman back in July 2022. The couple already shared their first child, Gage Deon, who was born in November 2020. Although the couple was only married for only four years, they began dating back when they were kids.
“We actually met when I was eight so we were dating then, but then when he turned 18, we stopped dating until recently,” Slaton went on to tell The Sun in February 2022. “He loves me and supports me. He don’t care how much I weigh, how much I lose. He don’t care.”
Slaton currently stars on TLV’s 1000-LB. Sisters alongside sister Tammy Slaton. She opened up about having two children under the age of two.

“The best part is getting to see them interact with each other and get to know each other,” Amy told E! News back in January. “The worst part is when I’m home alone with the two of them and they both start crying at the same time. I don’t know which one to give my attention to first.”
Back in 2019 Slaton was approved for gastric bypass surgery and has since lost over 100 pounds. The weight loss has been documented in the reality series. The show also covered Tammy’ and Caleb Willingham’s marriage in November.
“When she first told me she was dating Caleb, I was like, ‘That’s good.'” Amy said of the relationship. “Maybe they can team up and motivate each other in a way we couldn’t motivate her as a family because they are in similar situations.”
