1. Virginia Teacher Shot by 6-Year-Old Student Sits Down for Her First Interview: ‘I Try to Stay Positive”

On January 6th, Abigail Zwerner was injured by a gunshot wound fired by one of her young students. The 6-year-old opened fire in the classroom and Zwerner was the only one hit.

The educator sat down with TODAY show co-host Savannah Guthrie to talk about the experience. “I’ve been doing okay. It’s been challenging. I’ve gone through a lot of obstacles and challenges. Some days are not-so-good days, where I can’t get up out of bed. Some days are better than others, where I’m able to get out of bed and make it to my appointments.”

2. ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’: Amy Slaton and Husband Divorcing After 4 Years

Amy Slaton can’t seem to get a break. The 1000-LB. Sisters reality star has announced that she and husband Michael Halterman have filed for divorce on March 13. The Deputy Clerk for the Union country courthouse went on to confirm the news to E! News. The couple first married in March 2019.

The split comes less than a year after Slaton gave birth to their son Glenn Allen Halterman back in July 2022. The couple already shared their first child, Gage Deon, who was born in November 2020. Although the couple was only married for only four years, they began dating back when they were kids.

3. 1 Dead, 1 Hurt During Shooting at Texas High School

One student was tragically killed and another was wounded during a shooting that took place on Monday at a high school in Texas. According to authorities, officers responded to Lamar High School campus located in Arlington where they found a male student with a gunshot wound and a female student who was grazed by gunfire. Arlington Police Department stated the incident occurred just before 7 am. 

The victims have yet to be identified but were taken to a nearby hospital where the boy was pronounced dead. Police stated the girl is expected to survive. At the scene, authorities arrested a male juvenile suspect and has been charged with one count of capital murder. Police have yet to confirm whether the shooter was a student or not, but is currently being held at the Tarrant County Juvenile Center. 

4. Brooke Shields On Being Sexualized Early in Her Career: ‘I Survived’


Brooke Shields shared more insight about her life in a new trailer for her documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields. In the latest trailer for her new Hulu documentary, the model and actress gave her fans an inside into how she felt after being sexualized as a young actress

“The entirety of my life it was, ‘she’s a pretty face,’ over and over and over and over again, and that always seared me,” the 57-year-old stated in the trailer. The two-part documentary is said to reflect on her career working as a child model at just 11-months-old and the impact of being cast in Louis Malle’s film Pretty Baby at the young age of 12, before starring in The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love,  later becoming the face of Calvin Klein jeans in the 1980s.

5. Alexander Skarsgård Confirms Birth of His First Child With Tuva Novotny

Alexander Skarsgård is a dad! The Swedish actor himself confirmed the happy news during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the red-carpet premiere of season 4 of HBO’s Succession. While attending the star-studded event without his girlfriend Tuva Novotny, Skarsgård acknowledged the congratulations he was given by reporters on his new arrival, saying, “Thank you very much.”

 “I got this on the red carpet,” the added, showing off a stuffed animal that was given to him by an attendee at the premiere. When the reporter asked if he was “enjoying the process of being a father,” the actor replied, “I am, yeah.”
