ABC Doesn’t Offer Clarity on Fan-Faves ‘The Goldbergs,’ Grey’s Anatomy,’ or ‘A Million Little Things’

ABC isn’t telling fans much about the future of hit shows The Goldbergs, Grey’s Anatomy, or A Million Little Things.

“We haven’t made any decisions at all” for the upcoming Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy and Season 10 of The Goldbergs potentially being the last, ABC Entertainment President Craig Erwich told Deadline in an interview that was part of the network’s upfront presentation.

Grey’s Anatomy is set to enter its 19th season this fall.

“We just celebrated Grey’s 400th episode, which is a remarkable achievement for any show, and I think The Goldbergs continues to be as strong as ever,” Erwich said. “We have Adam’s graduation coming up which I think is going to be a signature event in the life of that series.”

Erwich also pointed out that Grey’s star and executive producer Ellen Pompeo remains committed to the show.

For the first time in its history, A Million Little Things will not be on in the fall. Its fifth season will be held for 2023. This is widely believed to be the drama’s final installment though Erwich said that “we haven’t made any decisions yet.”

A Million Little Things was created by D.J. Nash, whose previous credits include Til Death, Traffic Light and Bent. The show premiered on ABC in 2018.

“I’ve had some really good creative conversations with DJ about what next season would be, I think fans will really enjoy it,” Erwich said. “The show is ending on a really strong note which I think will take us into a good place for next season.”

All three shows air on ABC and are available through any traditional cable/satellite pay-TV provider, as the network is one of the major four TV channels that can be found in every U.S. market. Check your local listings to find out what channel it will be one. Another option is to receive the local ABC signal via a TV antenna.

Consumers also can access their local ABC stations through live TV streaming services. ABC is available as part of the standard packages for Fubo TV, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV.
