In the years since Dunn’s passing, Margera has consistently been on the wrong side of tabloid gossip, thanks in part to several incidents that have been spurred on by his substance abuse.

Margera’s “Jackass” co-star Steve-O even went so far as to say that plans for another installment of the film series wouldn’t come to fruition until Bam proved he was sober.

In order to get his demons in check, Margera and his mother, April Margera, have participated in VH1’s “Family Therapy,” where they have tackled Bam’s addictions head on.

In a recent episode, Margera admits that he smuggled a bottle of vodka into the taping, just in case he needed it.

Though he brought the bottle, Margera admitted to his cast mates and therapists that he had smuggled it in and that he no longer felt the need to drink it.

“My mom has been telling me this for years […] that she wanted me to stop drinking,” Margera said on camera.

“This is the first time I’m actually taking it seriously.”
