What Is Aphasia?
Usually stemming from a stroke, brain tumor, or head injury, aphasia is a cognitive disorder that affects communication skills. Those suffering from aphasia have trouble expressing themselves, whether through speech or writing. And though speech therapy is the main treatment for aphasia, the condition is tough and it’s left Bruce Willis unable to continue acting.
His relatives, including daughter Rumer Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore, shared the troubling news on their social media accounts this past spring. In addition to Rumer, Bruce shares two grown daughters with Moore: Tallulah Willis and Scout Willis. With his current wife Emma, he has two young daughters: Maybel Ray Willis and Evelyn Penn Willis.
The Jam Session
Amid the ongoing health battle, though, Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis has shared a happy update. Yesterday on Instagram, she posted a video of her husband (above) with the caption: “Their talent is speaking for itself. I’ll just leave this here.”
In the clip, Bruce is casually hitting licks on his harmonica while jamming out with musician Derek Richard Thomas, on guitar. Thomas is currently dating Rumer Willis, Bruce’s oldest daughter. And as of today, the couple is Instagram official! In honor of Rumer’s birthday, Thomas posted a sweet pic of his girlfriend, captioned: “In the short time we’ve been together you have filled my life with joy and peace.”
And judging by his spirited duet with Bruce, dad approves.
