Finally, we get to see Bruce Willis in action again. And maybe for the last time.
Previously thought to be a direct-to-video movie, Paradise City will actually hit theaters as well when it premieres November 11, Collider reports.
The trailer captures Willis and Travolta facing off in Hawaii. Fans of violent action movies with an attitude — and that also revolve around the drug trade — will want to spend time in Paradise City.
Seeing Bruce Willis and John Travolta onscreen together calls to mind Pulp Fiction, the last movie in which they both starred. That was way back in 1994.
The movie’s other cast members include Stephen Dorff, Praya Lundberg, and Corey Large. Large also co-wrote the action flick, which Chuck Russell (A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Scorpion King) directed.
What’s in Paradise City?
A description of the movie alongside the trailer reads: “Movie icons and Pulp Fiction costars Bruce Willis and John Travolta face off in this action-packed thriller. When bounty hunter Ian Swan (Willis) is shot and presumed dead after disappearing in Maui waters, Swan’s son, Ryan (Blake Jenner), his ex-partner (Stephen Dorff), and a local detective (Praya Lundberg) set out to find his killers.
“After being threatened by a ruthless power broker (Travolta),” the description continues, “it appears Ryan and his team are out of options — until an excursion to the closely guarded island community of Paradise City unites them with an unforeseen ally.
On March 30, Rumer Willis — Bruce Willis’ daughter with ex-wife Demi Moore — published a family statement on Instagram about her father’s health. The post stated that he is suffering from aphasia, a disease that “is impacting his cognitive abilities.”
Despite the actor pressing pause on shooting more films, Willis is due to appear in a total of 11 new movies this year, including, Paradise City. From all indications, Willis won’t act in any movies beyond those.
