The secret to a successful marriage? Well, who better to ask than a regular actress on the Hallmark Channel? Or more specifically, Hallmark actress Candace Cameron Bure.

After all, she has been married for 26 years. That’s not just a long time for a celebrity. That’s a long time for anyone.

Cameron Bure is married to former hockey player Valeri Bure. She opened up to Celebrity Jeopardy host Mayim Bialik on Bialik’s podcast — with the actress revealing what makes her marriage tick. And especially, what makes it happy.

Along the way, Cameron Bure insisted that she and her husband “love each other physically, spiritually” and “mentally.” Nor does it seem to hurt that they have lots of laughs.

“Laughter is one of my love languages,” she told Bialik. “I grew up with comedians on the show [Full House]. I’ve been around laughter my whole life. My dad’s a very funny man. Like, I love it. So, I need to have laughter in my life and that does come with a playfulness with my husband so when he can make me laugh — like, it’s the best.”

Intimacy, of course, also plays a role, she admitted.

“Sex obviously is important,” Candace Cameron Bure said, adding that “sex is a gift from God to be within the constraints of marriage and that it is to be celebrated and a huge part of marriage.”

You could tell by her tone that she wasn’t trying to get too detailed about it — but that she wanted to make it clear, there is a place for everything in a successful marriage.

“I’m not trying to talk about my sex life,” she told Bialik, “but I do think it is important to share what a healthy sex life within marriage can be just in saying like that that’s important.”

Candace, 46, and Valeri, 48, tied the knot in 1996.

“It’s an important part of the relationship that we make time for one another, that we still love each other both physically, you know, spiritually, mentally, all of the things,” she said. “It all comes hand in hand.

“… “I’m a happier person and my husband’s a happier person when we’ve had sex.”
