Gwyneth Paltrow is appearing in court to defend herself against a lawsuit brought by Terry Sanderson, 76, a retired optometrist. Sanderson is seeking damages of more than $300,000 as a result of a skiing incident in 2016, which he claims caused him to suffer broken ribs and long-term concussion symptoms.

Digital Testimony

As the trial for the actress’ ski accident continues, more details of the collison are being shown to the jury.

As of recently, an animated video constructed the crash. The clip shows an animation of Gwyneth Paltrow skiing in front of the complainant, Terry Sanderson. This was played after the actress testified that Sanderson crashed into her.

Eric Christiansen, the ski instructor, took the stand and showed the jurors an animated video to illustrate his perspective of the crash. A screenshot was shown of Paltrow slightly in front of Sanderson, with her children Moses and Apple skiing next to their instructor, Kari Oaks.

Trial Details

Christiansen was previously accused by Terry Sanderson of being a ‘bully’ and not being helpful. Christiansen told the court that ‘no one was unconscious’ and that Sanderson had said to him ‘she just appeared in front of me.’

On Tuesday, the defense in the Gwyneth Paltrow ski trial will continue arguing their case. During this time, Gwyneth’s lawyer is likely to read statements from her two teenage children.

Lead lawyer Steve Owens said that during the trial, parts of the depositions of Paltrow’s children, Apple (18) and Moses (16), would be read. He was uncertain if her husband, television producer Brad Falchuk, would be on the witness list, as the judge said he wanted the trial to be completed in eight days.
