Apparently, Jason Momoa fans care more about his locks than the environment.

On Monday, the actor shaved his head in an effort to raise awareness about climate change and other environmental catastrophes, according to his Instagram account.
“Heres [sic] to new beginnings let’s spread the aloha. be better at protecting our land and oceans. we need to cut single use plastics out of our lives and out of our seas. plastic bottles, plastic bags ,packaging, utensils all of it. let’s aloha our ‘āina together aloha j.”
Jason Momoa previously attracted public attention for shaving his beard in 2019.
During the new video of Momoa, he said, “Aww man, I’ve never even felt the wind right there.”
He also remarked: “I’m tired of using plastic bottles. We gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that sh– goes into our land, goes into our ocean. I’m here in Hawaii right now, and just seeing things in our ocean, it’s just so sad.”
The Aquaman actor asked his fans to do their part by ending their use of “ridiculous” plastic bottles.
Good intentions aside, some Momoa fans voiced their disagreement over his decision to take to the shears.
“Noooooooooooo,” wrote more than one fan.
“Oh lawd, @prideofgypsies …hearts are breakin all over the world tonight!!” quipped another.
“We did not approve this did we??” another fan chimed in rhetorically.

Momoa made headlines about two weeks ago when he was simultaneously interviewed with Kristen Bell on The Late Late Show with James Corden. It’s hard to tell exactly how flustered Kristen Bell was and how much was just a joke—but she admitted to being a huge fan of the Aquaman actor.
“Kristen, you’re a big fan of Jason Momoa?” asked Corden.
“Yeah, but I’ve played it really cool backstage, so let’s not get too…” she replied, trailing off.
It seems that Momoa got a kick out of this, because very shortly after, he casually put his arm around the back of Kristen Bell’s chair.
Bell and her husband apparently are both Jason Momoa fans, as it turns out. She immediately starts talking about how the two of them have dressed up as the Game of Thrones characters for multiple years.
