The series will re-imagine Greek mythology, created by Charlie Covell. Hugh was forced to leave the series due to scheduling conflicts. Goldblum will join fellow actors Killiam Scott, Janet McTeer, David Thewlis, Cliff Curtis, and more.

“Karos” is scheduled to be an 8-part episode series and is described by the streaming network as a “genre-bending series.” It will put a modern twist on Roman and Greek mythology and explore “themes of gender politics, power and life in the underworld.”

According to Deadline, Zeus of “Kaos” will be vengeful and insecure after several years of being the King of Gods. “Goldblum will play the seemingly all-powerful, yet desperately insecure and vengeful Zeus, who has long enjoyed his status as King of The Gods. That is, until he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead,” they stated.

They continued, “Neurosis then sets in, setting him off on a dangerous, paranoid path. Zeus becomes convinced his fall is coming – and starts to see signs of it everywhere.”

Georgi Banks-Davis is set to be the lead director and executive producer, with Runyararo Mapfumo directing as well. Other executive producers include Chris Fy, Nina Lederman and Jane Featherstone. Goldblum’s most recent TV credit includes Search Party, currently streaming on HBO Max.
