Jennifer Aniston Says ‘There Are No More Movie Stars.’ Uhh … What?

Aniston proved just how out of touch she is with the real world.

Well, Jennifer Aniston certainly isn’t keeping her private life very private anymore.

She posed practically nude on the latest cover of Allure. In an interview with the magazine, she talked in remarkably candid fashion about aging, her attempt at in vitro fertilization (IVF), and how the entertainment industry is now unrecognizable thanks to Twitter, Instagram and the like.

Jennifer Aniston Vs. Social Media

“I hate social media,” Aniston said. “I’m not good at it… It’s torture for me. The reason I went on Instagram was to launch this line. Then the pandemic hit and we didn’t launch. So I was just stuck with being on Instagram. It doesn’t come naturally.”

Aniston theorized that the lack of social media might be one reason “Friends” continues to be a mega-hit on streaming services.

“There are people who say that watching ‘Friends’ has saved them during cancer diagnosis, or so many people with just so much gratitude for a little show,” Aniston said. “We really loved each other and we took care of each other. I don’t know why it still resonates; there are no iPhones. It’s just people talking to each other. Nobody talks to each other anymore.”

Jennifer Aniston, Whiner in Chief

Her lengthy screed didn’t stop there. She also blamed technology and social media for erasing actors from pop culture.

“I’m a little choked up. I feel like it’s dying,” Aniston said. “There are no more movie stars. There’s no more glamour. Even the Oscar parties used to be so fun.”

Leaving aside the fact that almost all the richest actors in history are alive and actively working on movie projects, it’s hard to shed a tear over a celebrity who is worth $320 million. Not to mention that 26 of her 37 films have a green splat on Rotten Tomatoes.

Care to Apologize, Movie Star Who Says Movie Stars Don’t Exist?

With so many celebrities apologizing, or being forced to apologize, for every reason under the sun — and sometimes for reasons that don’t even make sense — will Jennifer Aniston take back her comment? Probably not.

Still, it might be a good character-building exercise for her to read up on why the U.S. currently has more than 550,000 human beings living on the streets. And a minimum wage of $7.25, which experts say no one can live on in any state in the country.

Jennifer Aniston couldn’t possibly know that living in poverty in the U.S. is tougher than living in poverty in the majority of the 66 First World countries.

We could go on and on about real reasons to get choked up, not the one that apparently almost sent Jennifer Aniston into waterworks.

Look, 53-year-old lady who is rich enough to appear hotter than top models in their early 20s, get some perspective on what is going on in the real world.
